Dr Bob Cavey
Dr Bob Cavey graduated from the University of Melbourne with honours in 1989.
After working for 6 years in a mixed animal practice in Mansfield Victoria, he then travelled overseas during which he worked extensively in the United Kingdom.
In 1997 Bob then started a new Veterinary Clinic in Rowville which grew rapidly, and successfully managed it for 12 years. In 2010 Bob was admitted as a Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists and completed the examination in Small Animal Surgery.
Bob has also been an Accredited Aqis Quarantine Veterinarian for more than 14 years.
Ultimate Veterinary Clinic is a family run business and is looking forward to building a long term relationship with you and your pets.
Dr Julie Ward
Dr. Julie Ward grew up in Melbourne. She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2006. She worked in mixed practice in Emerald for 2 years, then travelled to the UK for 12 months, where she worked at several different small animal clinics and travelled around Europe. After this she worked at another local mixed practice for 2 years, before joining the team at Ultimate Vet in February 2012. She has a special interest in small animal internal medicine and dermatology.
She lives in Belgrave with her 2 British Shorthair cats Ash & Maddie. Her horse “Papunya” lives at an agistment nearby. She enjoys horseriding, reading and travelling in her spare time. She has been lucky enough to visit Arnhem Land in the NT, and many remote places in Africa and South America on her travels.
Dr Belinda Jansen
Belinda graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2011 and since that time has worked in a variety of fields including welfare, emergency and small animal general practice.
She is very pleased and proud to become part of the Ultimate team and looks forward to providing the best possible care to your special family members. She has an interest in surgery of all kinds and emergency medicine.
Belinda’s animal family includes a gorgeous Groodle Moose and her two lazy pussycats Rooster and Sushi . She also has a lovely little flock of chookie hens – Betty, Trudy, Peggy and Joanie. She is a massive Batman fan, a foodie (despite being a vegetarian) and an avid amateur photographer.
Dr Livia Macreadie
Livia graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2015 and after spending 12 months working with both large and small animals in the hills has decided that it is dogs and cats she loves the most! She is looking forward to ensuring your animals are both healthy and happy.
At home Livia has an Australian Shepherd called Charlie, a Border Collie called Daisy and a handful of cattle in the back paddock. In her time off she loves playing the piano and heading to the football with her Collingwood mad Dad.
Dr Paula de Klerk
Paula joined the Ultimate Vet Clinic team in Jan 2017. She grew up in South Africa and graduated from the university of Pretoria, Onderstepoort, in 2006. She worked in mixed animal practice in South Africa for 2 years, followed by 5 years in the UK where she worked as a locum in both large and small animal practice in between traveling and exploring Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.
She moved to Melbourne in October 2013 and has been working in welfare and small animal practice since. Her special interests are small animal surgery, dentistry and ophthalmology. She is currently doing the advanced surgery distance education course through the university of Sydney.
Paula is the proud mum of Sasha an 8yr old JRT x and two very excitable chooks, Henrietta and The Kernell. She lives in the Dandenong Ranges and in her spare time enjoys swimming, hiking, mtn biking and gardening.
She is looking forward to meeting you and your fury family members.
Kylie completed her veterinary nursing certificates II, III and IV in 1999/2000 while working as a junior with Dr bob.
She then went on to do her emergency/critical care and advanced surgery certificate.
After working for 4 years with Dr Bob realised that surgery was her passion and left to work along side an orthopeadic surgical specialist for 4 years. Kylie has now joined the Ultimate team and excited to be working alongside Dr Bob again after coming from maternity leave.
Kylie has 2 children Abbey and Declan and 2 four legged pets a very energetic staffy “Ally” and “Floyd” a rotti!
Carrie had been working as veterinary nurse for over five years, before leaving to start her young family.
After taking the time off she is very exciting and pleased to get back into nursing by joining the Ultimate veterinary team.
Carrie has many animals at home including two gorgeous dogs Lulu and lucas, and lexi a devon rex.
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Bec joined our team mid 2016, starting her dream job working with animals. She lives locally, and is currently studying Vet Nursing. Bec is very keen to learn new and exciting things here at Ultimate, and is looking forward to providing the best care to our clients and their four legged pets. This is her first job in this industry, and is very pleased to be joining the team.
At home, Bec has a Border Collie X Blue Heeler, Rylee, that has just recently turned 1. In her spare time, she loves to take Rylee to the beach, and play around with her.
Mel came to Ultimate Veterinary Clinic after working at a small animal practice in the bayside suburbs for 6 years.
Mel is the proud mum of a Standardbred horse named Odette, an American Staffy named Rambo and 4 cats, Zook, Harmony, Hunter and Toulouse.
In her spare time, Mel likes to go to the footy (North Melbourne supporter), go horse riding and dancing.
